Beautiful, almost poetic, the murder mystery was just decoration

As always I'm not reading the books in this series for the murders. They are simply the hook Louise Penny constructs their books around. What gets me in her writing is how she describes her characters and the wise and poetic observations she shares through them. Also I love how much I learn about Canada just by reading these books. A dose of history here, a pinch of cultural specifics there... It is a very injoyable way to understand just a little better what country I'm in now.
