Finally FInished

I've been trying to finish the Canon of Lovecraft for years. This year, I tried something different. In between other books and podcasts, I listened to a story or two. Over this last weekend, I finally finished Lovecraft's last work before his Death, The Shadow Out of Time. I listened to a combination of the Omnibus edition by Finn J.D. John and the H.P. What did I think? My tolerance for the issues in Lovecraft's writing is high, but I struggled with aspects of a lot of his work. But I honestly enjoyed the cosmic horror and dreamlike imagery many of them had. I think I'm a bigger fan of what his work produced in a modern context than the source material, but I'm glad to finally say that I've finished the source material to have a greater understanding for what it inspired.
