An enjoyable story overall.

Kaho Mizuki, Sakura’s new teacher, soon reveals she’s a shrine maiden with magic powers of her own. But as always, Sakura’s struggle to capture the Clow cards intertwines with the mystery and complications of love and affection between her and all those around her. Is her heart strong enough to deal with the one who judges her worthiness to master the cards?

This volume is more disappointing than the previous one. The book focuses more on relationships than magic. While the characters are entertaining, the relationship agenda may be off-putting. Is the goal really to encourage 10-year-olds to date their teachers?

They could have stretched a story like this further, but I think they missed the opportunity. I wonder how many cards she caught, 20? It just seems like they are missing out on many stories’ potential! Besides Chinese magic, there are so a variety of types of cards they …
