after a slow start it became a page-turner

This book plays in Quebec city and follows three plot lines simultaneously which made it initially a bit confusing and hard to get into. However, once I found my way into the book it was gripping and a fun read which also taught me a lot about Quebec history. So far this is my favorite Book in the series.

Bury your Dead

This is a splendid and reasonably complex mystery. There are quite a few flashbacks, which kept me on my 'feet'. The tale is peopled by flawed, imperfect people who care deeply for competing causes and allegiances. If you are new to Armand Gamache, this should NOT be your first encounter.

Review of 'Bury Your Dead (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #6)' on 'Storygraph'

Did I say Ms Penny was getting dark in [b:The Brutal Telling|6449551|The Brutal Telling (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #5)|Louise Penny|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1327952311s/6449551.jpg|6639657]? Ha. That was like a fluffy cloud blocking the sun for a few minutes compared to Bury Your Dead.

But still, what are we going to do? Stop reading about Inspector Gamache? I don't think so.
