World War Z is among my favorite books ever written. I love how it is written. The academic style makes it feel even more frightening. It's one thing to have the descriptions of the dead rising to come and consume us all. It's another to read about how many governments were warned and failed to act in time to stop people from dying needlessly. And the audio version makes it even better! The full cast all hit their mark and make it even scarier.

Wow. Nothing like the movie and an intensely gripping read.

This book tells the fictional story of the Zombie War in what looks like first hand accounts with interview questions, footnotes and information about the setting. Despite this unique structure it was a real page turner that I could barely put down once I started reading. It paints a very smart picture of the choices, desparation and outcomes such a scenario would produce. And: It has nothing to do with the movie. In fact, I was surprised how different the book was.

Una manera muy original de relatar un apocalipsis zombie desde el principio hasta el final a través de cortas entrevistas de los supervivientes. Repleto de referencias geeks de los últimos tiempos. El ritmo es bueno y las historias son interesantes dibujando un transfondo muy interesada en base a pinceladas aquí y allá.
