Agustina Bazterrica, Sarah Moses: The Unworthy (Paperback, 2023, Scribner)

The long-awaited new novel from the author of global sensation Tender Is the Flesh: a …

alright book. did finish it so thats what counts to me

not a bad book per se. it did feel heavy reading wise since I had to take breaks in between. for such a short book don't understand why the prose felt so weighted but the cult vibes were fun. it did turn into a dudebro trying to reinvent/deconstruct religion into his harem. do I wish more was done with the setting they had? yes, but it couldn't be done since agustina chose to dip everyone into amnesia as a trauma response to the apocalypse. still do not know what really caused the world end event to happen so I'll be looking into that
