I have to say I'm not fond of Lovecraft and Hellboy takes a lot of the atmosphere and enemies from his work. I also have to confess that I usually don't like any mysticism on superhero comics. It's not a surprise I didn't like it. But if you like Lovecraft stories and superheros, try Hellboy.

A good work rebooting the marvel universe. When you try something that ambitious it's only normal that some of the characters are not very convincing. Anyway, a lot more darker that the normal avengers.

Volume 1 and 2 are OK, the rest you can live without reading them
