Big fan of GITS. Just wrapped up the Lodan's hardback of the original late last year and I'd like to get into The Human Algorithm and Stand Alone Complex

Roughly halfway through and the plot feels a little on the nose but it also feels like a twist might be in the works!
This is the next book for our homeschool lessons so I'm trying to wrap it up before our son has to read it.

Getting into part two on pathology and it's refreshing because I assumed the whole book would be example rants.
I think he spent a little too much time with his ax grinding regarding Musk but his passion is not unwarranted, in my opinion.

Started in on the chapter about holstering and drawing. Again the book is very elementary but I think that's the point. There's good info here about getting on target from a holster safely.

Picked up this book because I enjoy revolvers as well as general books on firearms. I'm about halfway through the book at this point and it seems to be a mix of fuddlore and common self defense techniques. I was hoping it would discuss a variety of snub nosed revolvers but it sticks to the topic in the title (at least up to this point).

Yet another book from our son's homeschool curriculum. I'm about halfway through as of 2026-01-21 and I'm really enjoying this one as well. The curriculum we picked up has some real bangers in it.

hobbsc finished reading The Thief (The Queen's Thief, #1) by Megan Whalen Turner
Picked up this book as part of our son's homeschool curriculum and found it to be a really lovely story with a twist at the end that I should've seen from the start.
