loopy reviewed Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Science-heavy adventure
5 stars
Content warning One revelation/twist included
I really enjoyed Artemis, and this was written in a similar tone. Again, the physics descriptions enhanced the story-telling for me but could be a bit of a drag if you don’t enjoy that sort of thing.
The story itself was maybe a little cookie-cutter at times, but it was still done tastefully and was tough to put down the book. The encounters with Rocky that the protagonist had was an interesting path for the story and was a unique look at communication.
Overall it’s one of my favorite books for its unusual friendship and descriptive physical aspects.
