Ghostwritten has a curious writing style. It consists of multiple short stories whose characters often share a time or place. However the times frames spanned in the stories can still vary wildly from days to years. They are also connected in other subtle ways. The protagonists of one short story are sometimes side characters of another short story.

The characters themselves are super interesting with very different backgrounds and personal stories, making you wonder what awaits you next after finishing one story and turning the page towards the next.
