What a teaser!

This one very good short story and teaser. You definitely got my attention.

Though a classic fantasy, it does have elements of a "party" in RPG like DragonLance and Forgotten Realms novels. In fact, I am confident to say at this point that this series ranks in the same greatness as DL & FR.

So, on to reading the rest of it!

Fun

A very fun story. This is why I fully support Free Culture and Public Domain, it allows anyone to adapt/remix stories to create new ones. This novel was one of it as it brought the Grimm Tales to the current time, linked together in so many ways.

I liked that there were many funny moments especially the restaurant date scene. I had to pause, reread, and laugh hard again and again. Likewise, I liked the build up to the story. I felt the dread and the wear when her clothes all turned red for the first time, for I knew that story very well. That one felt real, after all the revelations, especially since the first tale was presented ensuring the reader doesn't know any better than our dear Grimm heroine.

Immersive and scary!

That was one amazing mix and twist of things that we are facing today and the beliefs about the end-of-the-world. I recognised the sources, and I loved how Science and Faith wearing interwoven together.

The begging and middle were written in such a way that it felt like a horror story, which was perfect because of what happened to the planet and they thought they were the only ones left. Somehow there are answers somewhere but being the last humans on Earth makes our mind crazy wild.

Great work. Felt what it was like to be in such a situation.

Cool concepts

A different take on time-travel and keeping the timeline intact, that's what truly got into me and I'll remember this book because if it. I've seen a lot of takes in time-travel and timelines, even have a bunch of my own, but the ones in this beautiful novel were totally new.

The start was slow and I can say dragging. It took a while for things to make sense and the adventure to set in. But after that, I just kept in turning to the next page faster than I probably should. It was also a few years ago when I last read a story where only one character was followed. It was weird but also perfect. The story was about a person's growth and relationship with those around her.

And speaking of her, her knack in making names for others was brilliant. It was funny, it felt …

Tainted!

It was a good introduction to the series, although I would say it was hard to picture the place they were holed in. I understand it is deep below the mountains but the place lacked description or "feel". I can't quite fathom how they tell time. What the council is or who the members are (and why I should be bothered about them, and why they fear them).

The general idea was there. The world was hit by a meteor (it's a meteor once it enters earth's atmosphere), there was a mild ice age. ARC is holding the truth. But her experience inside ARC felt empty. It was like she was living a robotic life inside, colorless.

Or maybe that was the whole point?

Full Circle

A poverty good ending to the series. Well executed. Not too fast, not too slow. The right balance between action and dialogues, and where to insert each.

This series can be turned into a movie or TV show. With countless of world's in the multiverse, there are also countless of adventures to share.

Catalyst

Fast paced action, without the teenager/young adult drama. I like how the characters continually grew up as they faced one out-of-this-world multiverse problem after another.

Also great to see that questions left unanswered in the previous books in the series were finally answered here as it builds up tomthe ultimate confrontation.

Divided, Torn, Conflict

A fitting title, Divided. There were no right or wrong. No good and evil. Everyone fighting and standing for what they believe, the right to live, to avenge for the wrongdoings done to them.

Very much a reflection of our real world. Endless conflicts mainly rooted in revenge and pride.

The characters also grew up, deeper, and their conflicts and weaknesses shown. Although annoying at times, especially the self pity, but that's me reacting because I'm not them. Thus it was refreshing to see it from another person's eyes, even if they were just fictional characters.

Turn this into a TV series!

I can't believe TV producers has not taken notice of this amazing piece of multiverse! They're trying to get better shows up, this novel series should be at the top of their list!
