Summary:
One of the characters is fat and hates himself / the main character hates him. Either way, I read this a few months ago, but I remember enjoying basically every other part of the book.
If you feel uncomfortable about fat-shaming, you shouldn't read this book. Some of the characters probably could be examined in a sympathetic light, but the story doesn't allow most of them that. Save for the two "main characters", the rest of the characters are either automatons, evil, evil automatons, or unknowably powerful. I never try to figure out the mystery, though. I just read the book until it's made clear. The plot and setting of this book are not really what they seem at first glance, and I feel like if you're confused by it, I literally can't help you because I was not confused by it. I guess you could use notes? I feel like it's better to just not read the book if it confuses you too much. That is why I did not finish Finnegan's Wake.
I might change this later. It's late in the night and i'm going to bed.
It seems I read "Humble Pi" twice, so it counts twice. Maybe I should read "Humble Pi" 9 more times.
