I have so far read all of this series, and it's at this book that the plot definitely is at a different juncture. It is certainly not what the reader expects, at least from my reading of it. You have to then wonder what might happen.

This book is needed in order for readers to actually get a good view of the series. Yes, it's probably very much classified as young adult, but it's one that is integral to the plot as a whole.
