I really liked the book. It took me a bit to get used to the formatting, but once engrossed in the story (which took maybe 10% to get there), I was hooked with the characters and involved in the story. Though I had this on my bookshelf, I read this without knowing anything about the book. I likely will not re-read this book, but it is definitely one I would recommend.

I liked this book more than I thought I would. The main character struggles through many emotions and difficult circumstances and I find her relatable throughout. Lots of Spanish throughout so if you are not fluent, I would recommend have the ability to translate near. Most can be discerned from context but even with a fair amount of Spanish classes, I still had to look quite a few things up.
