If I was younger, I would have been all about this book, but now it just feels way too much for kids. I can't take the dragon characters seriously. I'm not totally sure why not, but it just doesn't sit right with me.

This story had an interesting cyberpunk world, an engaging concept, cool characters, and great writing, so I loved it. I did have a few pet peeves about it, like the fact that anyone who works with code in any way (i.e. programmers/developers) are all always referred to as "hackers" and the idea that all "hackers" have an intrinsic subconscious understanding of binary code, which is definitely not the case. Plus the underage objectification and sex thing with YT wasn't cool—at least it was kept to a minimum, I guess?

Other than that, this was an awesome and very enjoyable story that I would recommend to anyone who likes futuristic fiction.

This book was amazing. The research and ideas that went into it made it so interesting and enjoyable, and I just can not recommend it enough.

Review of 'Theonite' on 'Storygraph'

The storytelling in the Theonite series has been excellent so far, and I'm really looking forward to the next book! The concepts of race and caste are eased into view in this book, and the glimpse of ideas for how the world would look without a white conqueror history was hugely interesting to me.

I'd definitely recommend this book to someone who wants a fun, interesting, and deep new fantasy world to dive into. It does rely on the first book in the series, [b:Theonite: Planet Adyn|30077795|Theonite Planet Adyn|M.L.
