Antje Schrupp: Unter allen Umständen frei (German language, 2025, Ulrike Helmer Verlag)

really enjoyed it

I'm not super big on fantasy but this was recommended for it's queerness and it did not disappoint! The world is super rich and the lore very refreshing even though I thought some twists were a little obvious. But overall, I greatly enjoyed it!

Stanislaw Lem: Solaris (Paperback, 2016, Faber & Faber)

When Kris Kelvin arrives at the planet Solaris to study the ocean that covers its …

That was definitely interesting! While sections on mimoids (is exmplained in the book) didn't give me that much, the sections on academic pursuits (and believe schools! and failures!) had me chuckling internally. I couldn't really find myself in any of the characters, but I enjoyed the plot nonetheless. I also only afterwards read that Lem wasn't the biggest fan of this translation, so I might check it out in German at some point in time
